O Allah make the end of my life, the best of my life
and lingering peace, triumph over strife.
And beyond this world of illusion,
take the best of my deeds,
and make the best of my deeds their conclusion.
O Allah thwart all my doings of evil,
disarm me,
and make good, my only retrieval.
O Allah make death, the blest of things we do not choose,
yet the best of things, we cannot refuse.
And beyond our final breath, O Allah, make best,
all of that which follows death.
